I teach and work at the intersection of moral, political, and legal philosophy. In recent years, my main research focus has been in Critical Philosophy of Race. Historically, my work has centered on Immanuel Kant’s practical philosophy, Enlightenment theories, and John Rawls’s political philosophy. Methodologically, I identify as an analytic philosopher who nonetheless remains attentive to diverse historical traditions.
Other topics and areas that interest me and will shape my future research and teaching include, inter alia, the intersections of AI and structural (in)justice and theories of agency; human rights; and philosophical approaches to complex planetary challenges such as biodiversity loss, climate change, overpopulation, and overconsumption.
